• Confirm and manage bookings.
• Contact clients before or after the tour.

We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties, except when necessary to process a payment or when required by law.

Data Retention

We keep personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, including any applicable legal, accounting, or safety-record requirements, after which it is deleted or anonymized.

International Data Transfers

Trekking & Canyoning Adventure CR is based in Costa Rica. Some payment and booking processing — for example through PayPal, Viator, or WeTravel — may involve transferring personal information outside of Costa Rica, including outside the European Economic Area (EEA). These providers maintain their own data protection and security safeguards; we recommend reviewing their respective privacy policies for details on how they handle international transfers.

Your Rights

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with similar data protection law, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, to restrict or object to certain processing, to request a copy of your data in a portable format, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Payments

Payments may be made through SINPE Móvil, PayPal, or through partner booking platforms such as Viator and WeTravel, which are currently being integrated. Payments processed through any of these platforms are handled under that provider’s own security policies.

The PayPal payment method is [email protected]. The client assumes PayPal’s 6% commission on the agreed amount. For direct bookings, a 50% advance payment is requested based on the amount agreed for the activity and the number of participants. In general, bookings must be cancelled or modified at least 72 hours before the day of the activity to be eligible for a refund. The refundable amount corresponds to the 50% deposit paid to confirm the booking.

• Cancellations made more than 72 hours in advance will receive a refund of the amount paid, minus payment-processing fees, if any.
• Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the tour are not eligible for a refund.
• If the client does not show up on the day of the activity, they forfeit 100% of the amount paid.
• If Trekking & Canyoning Adventure CR cancels an activity due to extreme weather, access closures, safety reasons, or force majeure, the client may choose to reschedule the activity or receive the corresponding refund.
• Date changes are subject to availability.

By booking any of our tours, the client agrees to the following terms:

• All participants must follow the guides’ instructions at all times.
• Adventure tours involve inherent risks that cannot be fully eliminated.
• Participants under 18 years old must be accompanied at all times by a parent, legal guardian, or another adult responsible for them.
• Each participant must sign a liability waiver before starting the activity. For a participant under 18, the waiver must be signed by their parent or legal guardian.
• Participants must disclose any medical condition, injury, allergy, or physical limitation that could affect their safety.
• Trekking & Canyoning Adventure CR reserves the right to decline the participation of anyone who poses a risk to themselves or to the group.
• Schedules may change due to weather, river conditions, or safety reasons.
• Photographs and videos taken during the activity may be used for promotional purposes, unless the client states in writing that they do not authorize such use.
• The client is responsible for providing accurate information when booking.

By making a booking, the client confirms that they have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
